Bat Wing 1
With Amigurumi yarn 8990 (Black)
Make 7 ch and, starting in the 2nd ch from the hook, work:
1st row: 6 sc, turn
2nd row: ch 3, work back along the chain with 1 sl st in the ch, 1 sc in the ch, 1 sc in the base, (1 sc, ch 2, work back along the chain with 1 sl st in the ch, 1 sc in the base) 2 x
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Bat Wing 2
With Amigurumi yarn 8990 (Black)
Make 7 ch and, starting in the 2nd ch from the hook, work:
1st row: 6 sc
2nd row: Turn the work and make (1 sc, ch 2, work back along the chain with 1 sl st in the ch, 1 sc in the base) 2 x, ch 3, work back along the chain with 1 sl st in the ch, 1 sc in the ch, 1 sc in the base.
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Sew the wings diagonally onto the bat's back, with the longer points facing up.
With Amigurumi yarn 8001 (White), embroider the bat's eyes by passing the needle through the same stitch twice.
Shorter Strands (4)
With Amigurumi yarn 4456 (Orange)
Make 10 ch, leaving a tail at the beginning. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Attach each of the shorter strands to the objects hanging from the mobile: the smaller pumpkin, witch hat, cauldron, and bat.
Inner Strand
With Amigurumi yarn 4456 (Orange)
Make 80 ch, leaving a tail at the beginning. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Base
With Amigurumi yarn 8990 (Black)
Make 112 ch and, starting in the 2nd ch from the hook, work:
1st row: 15 sc, (1 tr inc, 15 sc) 6 x = 123 sc
2nd row: Turn and make 123 sc
Change to color 5583 (Lime Green)
3rd and 4th rows: Turn the work and make 2 sc, 2 hdc, 115 dc, 2 hdc, 2 sc = 123 stitches
Change to color 8990 (Black)
Prepare the wire by bending the end to form a closed loop so it can be tied later.
5th row: Turn the work and make sc along the longest side, sc along the side edge, sc into the foundation chain together with the wire (as if carrying the wire along), and sc along the side edge.
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
At the top of the mobile, fold the end to make it firmer and narrower, and sew it with the reserved yarn tail. Pass the yarn through the small wire loop to keep the base from slipping.
Important: Do not cut or finish the other end of the wire yet.
Shape the wire so that the mobile base matches the shape shown in the photo.
At the bottom of the mobile, attach the inner strand to the small wire loop and fasten off this end. Pass the inner strand through the mobile and sew it to the end of the base.
Adjust the wire to match the length of the inner strand, make a small loop at the end, and cut the wire. Fold the end and sew it, as you did on the other side.
To attach the smaller pumpkin, cauldron, witch hat, and bat, sew the shorter strands to the outer parts of the mobile, as shown in the photo.
