Gauge
In the stitch pattern used, a 10 x 10 cm swatch measures approximately: 12 stitches and 9 rows. The gauge is provided as a reference only. Adjust the number of chains and rows according to the size of the cushion you wish to cover.

Instructions

Cushion Cover
Using Barroco Decore Luxo, make a foundation chain long enough to match the width of the cushion.

Row 1: Working into the 3rd ch from the hook, make 1 dc. Work 1 dc in each ch across.
Row 2: Turn, ch 1, and work 1 sc in each stitch across.

Continue alternating 1 row of dc and 1 row of sc until the piece is long enough to cover the entire front of the cushion. Finish with 1 row of dc. At the end of this row, change to Barroco Natural 8 and work 1 row of sc.

Continue working the back section of the cover, alternating 1 row of dc and 1 row of sc, until it reaches the same length as the front section. Finish with 1 row of dc.

Assembly and Seaming
Wrap the piece around the cushion insert, positioning the Barroco Decore Luxo section at the front and the Barroco Natural 8 section at the back.

Using Barroco Natural 8, join the cover by working sc along the 3 sides.

At each corner, ch 2 to follow the rounded shape of the cushion, then continue working sc along the next side. Fasten off and weave in the ends using a tapestry needle.

Optional: For a removable cushion cover, leave one side open and add a zipper or buttons, allowing the cushion insert to be easily removed.

Decorative Cords
Using Barroco Natural 8, make cords in different lengths as follows:

1. Ch 2.

2. Work 1 sc in the 1st ch made.

3. Turn the work sideways. Work 1 sc into the small loop formed along the side of the stitch.

4. Turn the work sideways again. Insert the hook into the side loops that have formed and work 1 sc.

5. Continue repeating this process, turning the work and working 1 sc into the side loops, until the cord reaches the desired length.

Make 3 cords measuring 45 cm, 70 cm, and 41 cm.

Attaching the Cords
Once the cushion cover is fully assembled, arrange the decorative cords over the front of the cushion, following the design shown in the reference image.

Using a sewing needle and thread, secure the cords to the cover with small stitches along their entire length, keeping the stitches as discreet as possible between the fibers.

Repeat for all the cords, adjusting the curves and positioning of each cord to recreate the design.

Fasten off the sewing thread securely and hide the ends.
