Stitches Used:

• Chain (ch)

• Slip stitch (sl st)

• Single crochet (sc)

• Double crochet (dc)

• 3 Double Crochets Together (3 dc tog)

Size: Small (S, US 36)

Start: Begin the piece at the neckline. Chain 71 and join with a sl st in the first ch to form a circle. This circumference should fit comfortably over your head; if necessary, add more chains, always in multiples of 3.

Round 1 and Subsequent Rounds:

Chain 3 (counts as 1 dc). Make a shell: 1 dc, ch 2, 1 dc in the same space.

• *Ch 1, skip 2 base stitches, and in the 3rd stitch, make a set of 2 dc.*

• Repeat the process 11 times.

• Skip 2 base stitches and, in the 3rd stitch, make another shell: 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc.

• Continue with another 11 sets of 2 dc. Close with a sl st in the 3rd ch.

Repeat this process for 24 more rounds or until you reach your desired length.

Finishing Round:

Chain 9, turn back to the 4th ch from the hook, and make 3 dc tog.

Chain 2, close with a sl st in the same spot as the 3 dc tog.

Chain 5, skip one space in the base, and secure with a sc in the next space.

Neckline Cord: Make a chain approximately 110cm long and thread it through the neckline.

Create 2 pompoms (3.5cm each) and attach one to each end of the cord.
