Chain (ch);

Slip stitch (sl st): Insert hook, yarn over, pull up a loop and pass directly through the loop on the hook;

Double crochet (dc): Yarn over, insert hook, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over, draw through 2 loops, yarn over, draw through remaining 2 loops;

Pattern stitch: Follow chart;

Edging: Follow chart.

Instructions:

Skirt – Front and back are worked together. Begin at the waistband. With Cléa Duplo yarn in color #6313 (Blackberry), and 2.0 mm (US steel 4) hook, ch 192, join to work in the round and continue in pattern stitch following the chart. Repeat from * to * across the stitches (16x). After the 16th row, distribute increases to make the skirt wider at the bottom as follows: R16 – 216 dc, R28 – 240 dc, R40 – 264 dc. On each increase row, there will be 2 additional repeats from * to *. The skirt finishes with 22 repeats from * to * across the stitches. At 35.5” (90 cm) from the beginning, work 3 rows of edging following the chart. Fasten off.

Finishing – Return to the beginning of the work. With Cléa Duplo yarn in color #6313 (Blackberry), and 2.0 mm (US steel 4) hook, work 5 rows of dc evenly around the waistband. Fasten off. With Cléa Duplo yarn in color #6313 (Blackberry), holding 2 strands together, make a chain approximately 55” (140 cm) long. Fasten off. Line the skirt.
