A 4-inch (10 cm) square in garter stitch using 10 mm needles = 8 sts x 12 rows.

Execution: With the yarn in pecan color, cast on 27 sts on the 10 mm needles and knit 8 rows in garter stitch. Then, knit as follows: 3 sts in garter stitch, 21 sts in seed stitch, and 3 sts in garter stitch for 72 rows. Then, knit 6 more rows in garter stitch.

Fold the piece in half and sew the sides together, forming the front and back while encasing the pillow. On the last row (back side), sew the buttons, closing the pillow.
