Instructions: 

Pillow: use the tapestry crochet technique. In this technique, work with 2 or more strands in the same row, changing colors according to Diagram 1. For the color change, pull the last 2 loops on the hook with the new color and carry the other yarn along the back of the previous row, between the stitches of the new color. Using Barroco Maxcolor Brilho in color Chili, start with 71 ch + 1 ch to turn the work. 

1st row: Join Barroco Maxcolor Brilho in color White and carry it along the foundation row. With Barroco Maxcolor Brilho in color Chili, work back starting in the 2nd ch from the hook with 11 sc, *change to Barroco Maxcolor Brilho in color White and work 8 sc, change to Barroco Maxcolor Brilho in color Chili and work 12 sc*; repeat from * to * until the end of the row. 2nd row: With Barroco Maxcolor Brilho in color Chili, start with 1 ch, work 13 sc, *change to Barroco Maxcolor Brilho in color White and work 8 sc, change to Barroco Maxcolor Brilho in color Chili and work 12 sc*; repeat from * to * one more time, then change to Barroco Maxcolor Brilho in color White and work 8 sc, change to Barroco Maxcolor Brilho in color Chili and work 10 sc. Continue following Diagram 1, working in rows back and forth, making the color changes as indicated. Fasten off. Fold the piece in half and sew the two sides together by hand, forming a tube. 

Finishing: Join Barroco Maxcolor Brilho in color Chili at one of the openings of the piece, 1st row: Work 1 sc in each foundation stitch, going all around the opening, and join with a sl st. 2nd row: Start with *1 sc, 2 ch, skip 1 foundation st*; repeat from * to * until the end of the row, and join with a sl st. 3rd to 14th rows: Work 1 sl st, *1 sc over the 2 ch of the foundation, 2 ch, skip 1 foundation st*; repeat from * to * until the end of the row, and join with a sl st. Fasten off. Work the opposite side of the piece in the same way. Cord: With Barroco Maxcolor Brilho in color Chili, make 2 cords of 80 ch each and fasten off. Pass one cord on each side of the piece through the 4th row of Diagram 2, and close the pillow cover.
