Stitch Glossary & Abbreviations:
Knit Stitch = k.; Two Stitches Together in Knit = k2tog.; Purl = p.; Two Stitches Together in Purl = p2tog.;

Left-Leaning Decrease/Slip Slip Knit – slip two stitches knitwise, one at a time, onto the right-hand needle. Return the stitches to the left-hand needle and knit them together through the back loop = left dec. / ssk;

Knit Increase in the Same Base Stitch/Make 1 (knit one stitch through the front loop without dropping it, then knit one stitch through the back loop) = k inc. / M1;

Left Increase/Make 1 Left (make an increase by lifting the horizontal strand between two stitches, inserting the needle from back to front) = left inc. / M1L;

Right Increase/Make 1 Right (make an increase by lifting the horizontal strand between two stitches, inserting the needle from front to back) = right inc. / M1R;

Round (work in circular knitting using the magic loop technique) = rnd.;

Knitting Cast-On with Magic Ring – create each stitch using a crochet hook inside the magic ring, yarn over, pull the yarn through the loop, and transfer the stitch to the knitting needle.

Bobble Stitch = k1, yo, k1, yo, k1 (all in the same base stitch), transfer the 5 stitches back to the left-hand needle, k5, pass the second stitch on the right-hand needle over the first stitch, repeat 4x, bobble completed, and you return to 1 stitch = bobble st.

Approximate Size: 8 inches (20 cm).

Initial Instructions
Read the entire pattern before starting.
Gather all the necessary materials.
Knit the arms and tail first, adding stuffing as instructed.
Before inserting the stuffing into the piece, push all the stitches onto the needle cable.

Instructions:

Arms (2)
With Amigurumi yarn #8176 (Off-White)
Leave a tail of approximately 4 inches (10 cm) before starting.
Cast on 6 stitches using the “Magic Ring Knitted Cast-On” technique.
Don’t close the magic ring.

R1: k6
R2: (k1, M1R) 6x = 12 sts
R3: k12
R4: (k2, M1R) 6x = 18 sts
R5 to R11 (7 rounds): k18
R12: k1, k2tog, k12, ssk, k1 = 16 sts
R13 to R14: k16
R15: k1, k2tog, k10, ssk, k1 = 14 sts
R16 to R17: k14
R18: k1, k2tog, k8, ssk, k1 = 12 sts
R19 to R20: k12
R21: k1, k2tog, k6, ssk, k1 = 10 sts

Stuff the arm lightly.
Cut the yarn, leaving a tail of approximately 12 inches (30 cm).
Using a tapestry needle, thread the yarn through the 10 stitches.
Pull tight to close the hole and secure with a knot.
Tighten the magic ring at the beginning and knot securely.
Make the second arm the same way.

Tail
With Amigurumi yarn #8176 (Off-White)
Leave a tail of approximately 4 inches (10 cm) before starting.
Cast on 6 stitches using the “Magic Ring Knitted Cast-On” technique.
Don’t close the magic ring.

R1: k6
R2: (M1R) 6x = 12 sts
From the next round, work in puff stitch.
R3: (k1, puff stitch) 6x = 12 sts
R4: (k1, M1R) 6x = 18 sts
R5: (k1, puff stitch) 9x = 18 sts
R6: (k1, k2tog) 6x = 12 sts
R7: (k1, puff stitch) 6x = 12 sts
R8: (k2tog) 6x = 6 sts

Bind off in knit.
Stuff lightly.
Cut the yarn, leaving a tail of approximately 12 inches (30 cm) for sewing.
Pull the yarn through to close the hole and tie a knot.
Tighten the magic ring at the beginning and knot securely.

Legs (2)
Start with Amigurumi yarn #8176 (Off-White)
Cast on 8 stitches using the "Magic Ring Knitted Cast-On" technique.
Don’t close the magic ring.
Create the magic loop, leaving half of the stitches on each needle.

R1: k8
R2: (k1, M1R) 8x = 16 sts
R3 to R11 (9 rounds): 16 sts
R12: k4, M1R, k8, M1L, k4 = 18 sts
R13: 18 sts
R14: k5, M1R, k8, M1L, k5 = 20 sts
R15: 20 sts

Transfer the stitches to a scrap yarn using a tapestry needle.
Cut the yarn, leaving a tail of approximately 6 inches (15 cm) for sewing.
Set aside.
Knit the second leg in the same way as the first.
Don’t cut the yarn for the 2nd leg.

Body
Continue with Amigurumi yarn #8176 (Off-White)
Transfer the stitches from the first leg back to the needle with the round's end facing the needle tips, placing half the stitches on each needle.
Transfer the stitches from the second leg to the needle with the round's end facing the needle's cable. Again, place half the stitches on each needle as shown in the picture below. This way, the magic loop is set up with 40 stitches.

R1: k8, ssk, k2tog, k16, ssk, k2tog, k8 = 36 sts
R2: 36 sts
R3: k1, M1R, k16, M1L, k2, M1R, k16, M1L, k1 = 40 sts
R4: 40 sts
R5: k1, M1R, k18, M1L, k2, M1R, k18, M1L, k1 = 44 sts
R6: 44 sts
R7: k1, M1R, k20, M1L, k2, M1R, k20, M1L, k1 = 48 sts
R8: 48 sts

Stuff the legs.
Close the hole between the legs with a few stitches.

R20: k2tog, k22, ssk, k2tog, k22, ssk = 48 sts
R21: 48 sts
R22: k2tog, k20, ssk, k2tog, k20, ssk = 44 sts
R23: 44 sts
R24: k2tog, k18, ssk, k2tog, k18, ssk = 40 sts

R28: Repeat: k1, k until the end of the round.
Don’t cut the yarn, continue to the head.

Head
Continue with Amigurumi yarn #8176 (Off-White)
Continue from the body.

R1: (k2, M1R) 18x = 54 sts
R2-R22: 54 sts (21 rounds)
Place the safety eyes on the 12th round, at the 9th and 16th stitches, with 6 stitches of space between them.
Stuff the body up to the neck.

R23: (k1, k2tog) 18x = 36 sts
R24: 36 sts
R25: (k1, k2tog) 12x = 24 sts
R26: 24 sts
Stuff the head.

R27: (k2tog) 12x = 12 sts
R28: 12 sts

Cut the yarn, leaving about 12 inches (30 cm) for sewing.
Finish stuffing the head.
Using a tapestry needle, thread the yarn through the 12 stitches.
Pull the yarn tightly to close the hole and tie a knot.
Embroider the eyelashes, eyebrows, nose, and mouth using Maxi Mouline #900 (Black).
Sew a running stitch on the 28th round of the body, starting at the nape, pull to shape the neck, tie a strong knot, cut off the excess yarn, and hide the ends inside the sheep.
Sew the tail, centering it on the 6th round of the body on the back.

Hat
With Amigurumi yarn #8176 (Off-White)

Cast on 6 stitches using the "Magic Ring Knitted Cast-On" technique.
Do not close the magic ring.

R1: 6 k;
R2: 6 inc. in k = 12 k;
From the next round on, work in bobble st.
R3: (1 k, 1 bobble) 6x = 12 sts;
R4: (1 k, 1 inc. in k) 6x = 18 k;
R5: (1 k, 1 bobble) 9x = 18 sts;
R6: (1 k, 1 inc. in k) 6x = 24 sts;
R7: (1 k, 1 bobble) 6x = 24 sts;
R8: (3 k, 1 inc. in k) 6x = 30 k;
R9: (1 bobble, 1 k) 15x = 30 sts;
R10: (4 k, 1 inc. in k) 6x = 36 k;
R11: (1 k, 1 bobble) 18x = 36 sts;

Cut the yarn, leaving approximately 20 inches (50 cm) for sewing.
Pull the yarn tightly to close the magic ring and tie a knot.

Sew the hat onto the sheep's head.

Ears (2)
With Amigurumi yarn #8176 (Off-White)

Cast on 6 stitches using the "Magic Ring Knitted Cast-On" technique.
Don’t close the magic ring.

R1: 6 k;
R2: (1 inc. in k, 1 k, 1 inc. in k) 2x = 10 k;
R3: 10 k;
R4: 2 k, 1 inc. to right, 1 k, 1 inc. to left, 4 k, 1 inc. to right, 1 k, 1 inc. to left, 2 k = 14 k;
