Stitch Glossary & Abbreviations:

ch.: chain, sl st.: slip stitch, sc.: single crochet, dc: double crochet, fantasy st. (A – 1st and 2nd step): follow diag. 1, Fantasy st. (B): follow diag. 2.

Gauge: A 10 cm (4”) square in fantasy stitch (A – 3 motifs) using 2.5 mm hook = 33 sts. x 13 rows.

Instructions

Transfer the patterns onto tracing paper to use as a reference when making the piece. Pay attention to the arrows in the measurement diagram, which indicate the direction of the work.

Blouse – 1st Step: Begin the piece at the hem, working the front and back together in circular rounds. Change the Seaside yarn colors (Tiffany, Canary, Orange, Crystal Mist, and Rustic Wine) as indicated in the diagram. Using a 2.5 mm crochet hook and Seaside yarn #616 (Canary), make a cord of 220 ch., join with 1 sl st. to form a ring. Work on the ring in fantasy st. (A – 20 motifs) following diag. 1 and the repeat sts.from the 1st to the 21st row. 2nd Step: Work the front and back separately in rows, following diag. 1 from the 22nd to the 41st row. Finish by joining the shoulders with a row of sc. using Seaside yarn #613 (Tiffany).

Finishing Around the Neckline and Armholes: Use a 2.5 mm crochet hook and Seaside yarn #613 (Tiffany). Work around the neckline (23 motifs) and hem (40 motifs) with the edging pattern following diag. 2 and the repeat sts. from the 1st to the 5th row. Work around the armholes (20 motifs) with the edging pattern following diag. 2 and the repeat sts. from the 1st to the 3rd row. Complete all finishing in circular rows.
