Row 1:

Start with a magic ring and work inside the ring:

• ch 3 (counts as 1 dc)

Close the magic ring.

Row 2:

Turn your work.

• sl st in the 3rd dc

• sl st into the ch-2 space

In the space work: ch 3 – 2 dc – ch 2 – 3 dc (Note: All rows will begin in this way.)

Turn your work and begin as in previous rows.

In the first space:

• 3 sc (1 sc in each of the 3 central dc)

• ch 3

Finish the row as previous rows.

Finishing Row – Part 2

Turn your work.

• ch 1

• work 1 sc in each stitch

• In the ch-3 space, work: 3 sc in the space
  
  

Continue this way until the end. Finish with 1 sl st.
Fasten off and weave in the ends.

Light blocking is recommended to open and define the stitch pattern.
