Execution
Front – With Seaside yarn in white (611) and a 2 mm Círculo crochet hook, start by chain 15. Following Chart 1, you will have 15 dc in the first row. Without fasten off, we’ll introduce a second color on even-numbered rows: Fervor (6111). Make an increase at the beginning and end of the row, resulting in 17 d.c. in the second row. Continue working in red and white stripes, increasing at the beginning and end of each row, until the piece measures approximately 6.7 inches (17 cm).
At this stage, the width should measure 10.2 inches (26 cm). Continue alternating white and red rows using d.c., this time without increases, until the total height reaches 15 inches (38 cm).
Then, make a border of s.c. following Chart 2, using the white yarn.
Now, let's complete the front with above the leg openings using Deep Sea (2604). This is the area where we will later attach the buttons. Follow Chart 2, working s.c. until reaching 1.57 inches (4 cm) to the left, then another 1.57 inches (4 cm) to the right.
Now, we can proceed to the bust. Work d.c., making an increase in every row (2 d.c. over a single base stitch). Continue for 3.54 inches (9 cm) until reaching a total width of 14.17 inches (36 cm).
At this stage, complete the right side first by making decreases. Start by working 1 d.c., then work another d.c. over the next base stitch, and finish both together. Continue for 3.94 inches (10 cm) in height, and the width will be reduced to 0.79 inches (2 cm), the same width as the straps (which will be 2.76 inches (7 cm) in height each). Repeat to complete the left side of the bust.
For the neckline, work 4 rows of s.c. following Chart 2, using the white yarn.
Then, follow Chart 3, alternating between white and red yarn, to crochet the detail on the neckline, one on each side.
Back – To crochet the back, follow Chart 1, working d.c. with the Deep Sea yarn. You can use the same initial 15 white ch. as the starting row. Increase as we did in the front, working d.c., until reaching 6.7 inches (17 cm) in height. Complete the width of 13.39 inches (34 cm), and then, without any increases, continue with d.c. until the total height reaches 15 inches (38 cm). At this stage, we will start increasing again, one increase per row. Continue for 3.54 inches (9 cm), reaching a width of 14.17 inches (36 cm). Then, make the straps, each with a height of 6.69 inches (17 cm).
Finishing – Join the two parts using the sewing needle, complete with the inner lining, and attach the buttons.
