Each motif in Chart 1 measures 4.9” x 4.9” (12.5 cm x 12.5 cm), worked with Natural Cotton Maxcolor 4/6 yarn and US E-4 (3.5 mm) hook.

Pattern Notes

Instructions:
Chart 1 – Motif 1
With Dark-Cheddar yarn, start with a magic ring.
R1: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), 1 dc, ch 2, * dc2tog, ch 2 *; repeat from * to * 4 times.
Join with sl st to top of beginning ch-3. Fasten off.
R2: Attach White yarn in one of the 2-ch spaces. Ch 3 (counts as first dc), 1 dc, ch 1, dc2tog, ch 1. * Skip 1 base st, over the base 2-ch space, work: dc2tog, ch 1, dc2tog, ch 1 *; repeat from * to * 4 times.
Join with sl st to top of first ch-3. Fasten off.
Keep following Chart 1, working in rounds and changing colors as indicated. Fasten off all yarns.
Make 74 motifs, following colors of the assembly chart. Join motifs on the last round using hand sewing, picking up only the back loops of the base stitches, following the assembly chart.
Chart 2 – Motif 2
With Dark-Cheddar yarn, start with a magic ring.
R1: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), 1 dc, ch 2, * dc2tog, ch 2 *; repeat from * to * 2 times.
Fasten off.
R2: Attach White yarn in the first stitch of R1. Ch 4 (counts as first dc + ch 1), * over the base 2-ch space, work: dc2tog, ch 1, dc2tog, ch 1. Skip 1 base st *; repeat from * to * 2 times, dc in last base stich.
Fasten off.
Keep following Chart 2, changing colors as needed. Fasten off all yarns.
Make 6 motifs, following colors of the assembly chart. Join motifs on the last round using hand sewing, picking up only the back loops of the base stitches, following the assembly chart.
Chart 3 – Finishing
Attach Porcelain yarn in one corner of the blanket. Work along only the width of the blanket.
R1: Ch 1, 1 sc in each base stitch along the side. Fasten off.
R2: Attach the yarn in the same color to the first stitch of previous round. Ch 1, 3 sc, * ch 3, skip 2 base sts, 4 sc *; repeat from * to * to the end of row. Fasten off.
Repeat in the same way on the opposite side of the blanket.
Fringe
Cut 9 strands of yarn, approx. 16.5” (42 cm) long. Fold in half and attach to the ch-3 spaces of the finishing. Place 1 fringe per chain space along the last round of Chart 3, on both ends of the blanket.
