Chain (ch.); Single crochet (sc.): insert the hook, yarn over, pull up a loop, and with another yarn over, pull through all the loops; Double crochet (dc.): yarn over, insert the hook, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over again, pull through two loops, and with another yarn over, pull through all the loops; Bikini bottom: follow the corresponding chart. Cup: follow the chart. Finishing: follow the chart. Cup edge: follow the chart. Strap: follow the chart.
Gauge:
A 10 cm (4 inch) square in fantasy stitch following the chart with a 2.5 mm hook = 32 sts. x 16 rows.
Instructions:
Bikini bottom – Front – Make a foundation chain of 11 sts. and work as follows: the first 6 sts. (count the first ch. as 1 st.) of the edging following the chart, the sts. in fantasy stitch following the front chart (work the chart mirrored from the center indicated by the arrow), and the last 6 sts. of the edging following the chart. Work the edging along the entire side of the chart as indicated at the beginning. Once the front chart is complete, fasten off. Work on both sides after the leg opening inc. as follows: the first 6 sts. (count the first ch. as 1 st.) of the edging following the chart and 56 dc. Work the edging on the leg opening side. Work 16 rows and fasten off. Back – Use the same foundation chain from the front and work the back following the corresponding chart. On the sides, work the 6 sts. in the edging stitch as was done for the front. Once the back chart is complete, fasten off. Work both sides as done for the front.
Cup – Make a foundation chain of 9 sts. and work as follows: the first 6 sts. (count the first ch. as 1 st.) of the edging following the chart, the sts. for the cup following the chart, and the last 6 sts. of the edging following the chart. Work the edging along the entire side of the chart as indicated at the beginning. Once the cup chart is complete, fasten off. Make 2 identical cups.
Finishing:
Bikini bottom – Sew the sides, gently gathering to adjust the sides. Work a row of sc. around the entire leg opening and fasten off. Work the edging around the entire waistband following the chart. Once the chart is complete, fasten off. Line the bikini bottom.
Bralette – Sew the cups together at the narrowest part. Work 6 rows of sc. along one of the sides (the bottom side of the bra) of both cups and fasten off. Sides – Work on both sides starting from the sc. at the bottom edge and proceed as follows: the first 6 sts. of the edging following the chart, 15 dc., and the last 6 sts. of the edging following the chart. After the 14th row, dec. 1 st. on each side, 6 sts. from the edges, every row (7x), and the last dc. Continue working the remaining 12 sts. in the edging stitch following the chart. Work 12 rows with 12 sts., then work the strap stitch in the center of the 12 dc. following the chart in the 2nd part, make 14 rows, and fasten off. Do the same work on both sides. Work the edging along the top edge following the chart. Once the chart is complete, fasten off.
Straps – Attach the yarn 2 cm (approx. 0.8”) from the edge of the cup (see pattern) and work the strap following the chart. Repeat from * to * for 15 cm (approx. 6”) in the 1st part and 23 cm (approx. 9”) from * to * in the 2nd part, then fasten off. Make both straps identical. Sew the pre-made cup to the crocheted cup.
