Gauge: A 3.94 in (10 cm) square in pattern stitch (A – Chart 1) using a G-6 (4.0 mm) hook = 18 sts x 8 rows.
Instructions: Transfer the pattern pieces onto tracing paper to use as a reference when making the piece. Observe the arrows on the measurement diagram indicating the direction of work.
Left Back: Using a G-6 (4.0 mm) crochet hook and Lolita yarn in Violet, begin the piece at the lower edge with a foundation chain of 40 ch. On this chain, work back and forth in rows in pattern stitch (A), following Chart 1 from the 1st to the 28th row. Fasten off and set the piece aside.
Right Back: Using a G-6 (4.0 mm) crochet hook and Lolita yarn in Violet, begin the piece at the lower edge with a foundation chain of 40 ch. On this chain, work back and forth in rows in pattern stitch (B), following Chart 2 from the 1st to the 28th row. Fasten off and set the piece aside.
Left Front: Using a G-6 (4.0 mm) crochet hook and Lolita yarn in Violet, begin the piece at the side with a foundation chain of 56 ch. On this chain, work back and forth in rows in pattern stitch (C), following Chart 3 from the 1st to the 13th row. Fasten off and set the piece aside.
Right Front: Same as Left Front.
Rosette: Using a G-6 (4.0 mm) crochet hook and Lolita yarn in Violet, start the motif by making a magic ring. 1st round: ch 4, *1 dc, 1 ch*, repeat from * to * 10 x, sl st to close the round. From the 2nd to the 4th round, continue following Chart 4. The 2nd round is worked in the round; the 3rd and 4th rounds are worked back and forth in rows. Fasten off and set the piece aside.
Assembly and finishing: Using a tapestry needle and Lolita yarn in Violet, sew the pieces together using a basting stitch. Close the shoulders for 2.36 in (6 cm), and close the side seams of the body for 7.48 in (19 cm), leaving a 16 cm (6.30 in) armhole opening. Join the right front to the left front for 7.48 in (19 cm). Note: This seam is centered on the front center section. At the upper part of the neckline, sew the rosette (Chart 4) in place. Switch to sewing needle size nº 2 and, using Maxxi Retrós thread in Lavender, attach the zipper with basting stitches, joining the Left Back and Right Back pieces. Note: The zipper will be centered on the back center section.
Raised edging: Using a G-6 (4.0 mm) crochet hook and Lolita yarn in Violet, work the edging in relief over the rosette seam on the front side, following Chart 5 (1st row) and the repeat stitch pattern.
Button lining: Using a G-6 (4.0 mm) crochet hook and Lolita yarn in Violet, start the motif by making a magic ring. 1st round: ch 3, 11 dc, 1 sl st to close the round. 2nd and 3rd rounds: continue following Chart 6. Work in circular rounds and close each round with 1 sl st. Fasten off the yarn leaving a tail of approx 5.9 in (15 cm). Thread this tail onto a tapestry needle and make a running stitch in the 3rd round. Position the button and gather tightly, securing with a knot. Attach the covered button to the upper left side of the back. Return to the G-6 (4.0 mm) crochet hook and, on the upper part of the Right Back, work the loop to fasten the button: 1 sl st, 5 ch, 1 sl st. Fasten off the yarn.
