Stitch Glossary & Abbreviations:

2x2 Ribbing: k2, * p2, k2 *; Rice Stitch: Row 1 and all odd rows: * k1, p1 *. Row 2 and all even rows: alternate the stitches. Fantasy Stitch: Follow the chart. Cabled Stitch: Follow the chart. Chain (ch); Double Crochet (dc): Yarn over, insert the hook, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through 2 loops, yarn over, and pull through all remaining loops; Ball: Follow the chart.

Gauge:
A 10 cm (approx. 4”) square using the combined stitches following the chart with 2.5 mm needles = 39 sts. x 44 rows.

Instructions: Back – With Acqua yarn, cast on 118 sts. using 2.5 mm needles and work in 2x2 ribbing. After 4 cm (1.6”) from the start, switch to 3.0 mm needles and Crystal Mist yarn. Work as follows: 26 sts. in fantasy st. following the chart, 66 sts. in cabled st. following the chart, and 26 cm (10.2”) in fantasy st. following the chart. After 6 cm (2.4”) from the start, dec. 3 sts. and then 1 st. (7x) at each side every 2 rows. After 34 cm (13.4”) from the start, bind off.

Front – Work as for the back until 31 cm (12.2”) from the start. At this point, for the neckline, bind off the central 22 sts. and finish each side separately. For the neckline, dec. 5 sts. every 2 rows (2x), then 4 sts., then 3 sts. every 2 rows (2x). After 34 cm (13.4”) from the start, bind off.

Finishing: Using the crochet hook and Acqua yarn, make a ball in each st. marked on the chart. Sew the shoulders and the sides along the straight edge. With the green yarn and circular needles, pick up 230 sts. from the right side of the work along the side openings and work in rice stitch. After 2.5 cm (1”) from the start of the picked-up sts., bind off. Repeat the same process on both sides. With Crystal Mist yarn and circular needles, pick up 166 sts. from the right side of the work around the neckline and work in 2x2 ribbing. After 6 cm (2.4”) from the start of the picked-up stitches, bind off.
