Stitches used: Chain (ch). Slip stitch (sl st.): Insert hook, yarn over, pull through stitch and loop on hook. Single crochet (sc.): Insert hook, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over again and pull through both loops on hook. Half double crochet (hdc.): Yarn over, insert hook, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over and pull through all loops on hook. Instructions: Purse – The purse is worked in one single piece, starting from one of the sides. With Nautico Poly Slim yarn in Forest Green color, make a foundation chain of 128 ch. + 1 ch. to turn, and begin working in fantasy stitch following the chart. Work the 1st and 2nd rows as shown in the chart. From the 3rd to the 15th row, decreases are made. Keep in mind that the motifs are staggered: the 1st row has 16 full motifs; the 3rd row starts and ends with a half motif. With the decreases, the number of motifs is reduced every 2 rows. Work the decreases as follows: Even rows from the 2nd to the 26th row: work in sl st. across all stitches. 3rd row: work 5 sc. at the beginning of the row, then follow the chart starting the motif with 1 hdc.; Leave the last 4 sts. Unworked. 5th row: work 5 sc. at the beginning, then follow the chart starting the motif with 1 hdc. Leave the last 4 sts. Unworked. 7th row: work 5 sc. at the beginning, then follow the chart from * to *. Leave 4 sts unworked at the end. 9th row: work 5 sc. at the beginning, then follow the chart starting the motif with 1 hdc. Finishing – Line the purse while it is still open. Fold the piece in half along the dotted line indicated on the template and using Nautico Poly Slim yarn in Forest Green color, work 1 row of sc. to join the sides, starting at the fold. Once one side is joined, continue working sc. on the other side up to the fold and fasten off. Flap – With Nautico Poly Slim yarn in Forest Green color, work 9 rows of 12 sc. each along the straight edge of the purse opening. Fasten off. Attach one part of the clasp to the center front of the purse (opposite side of the flap), 3 cm (1.2 in) from the opening, and the other part to the center of the last row of the flap.
