Stitch Glossary & Abbreviations:

Chain (ch.); Double crochet (dc.): yarn over, insert the hook, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over again, pull through two loops, and with another yarn over, pull through all the loops; Crab stitch: work in single crochet from left to right; Back Post Double Crochet (BP dc): yarn over, insert the hook horizontally from behind the dc. of the previous row, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over again, pull through two loops, and with another yarn over, pull through all the loops; Front Post Double Crochet (FP dc): yarn over, insert the hook horizontally from the front of the dc. of the previous row, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over again, pull through two loops, and with another yarn over, pull through all the loops; Fantasy stitch: follow the chart. Front/Back: folow the chart.

Gauge

A 4-inch (10 cm) square in fantasy stitch with a 2.5 mm hook = 30 sts. x 18 rows.

Instructions

Back – Start at the bottom of the swimsuit. Make a cord of 11 ch. + 3 ch. to turn, and work in fantasy st. #1 following the corresponding chart. After 0.8” (2 cm), inc. on each side in every row: 1 st. (14x), 2 sts. (5x), 1 st. (4x), and 12 sts.; After finishing the inc;, work in fantasy st. #2 following the corresponding chart. After completing the chart, work 23 rows in fantasy st. #1 following the corresponding chart. After the 23 rows, for the armholes, skip 21 sts. on the right side. At the same time, for the neckline, skip 54 sts. on the left side. Skip 2 sts. (6x) and 1 st. (6x) on the neckline side in each row. After finishing the neckline, work an additional 1.6” (4 cm) in straight fantasy st. and fasten off.

Front – Start at the bottom of the swimsuit. Make a cord of 11 ch. + 3 ch. to turn, and work in fantasy st. #1 following the corresponding chart. After 1.57” (4 cm), inc. on each side in every row: 1 st. (23x), and 12 sts. After finishing the inc., work in fantasy st. #2 following the corresponding chart. After completing the chart, work 23 rows in fantasy st. #1 following the corresponding chart. After the 23 rows, for the armholes, skip 21 sts. on the left side. At the same time, for the neckline, skip 54 sts. on the right side. Skip 2 sts. (6x) and 1 st. (6x) on the neckline side in each row. After finishing the neckline, work an additional 1.57” (4 cm) in straight fantasy st. and fasten off.

Finishing
Sew the shoulders, bottom and sides. Sew around the armholes of the panties 2 rows in sc. and one row in crab stitch. Line the panties, leaving the crab stitch all around the armholes unlined. Go around the armhole and neckline 2 rows in sc. and one row in crab stitch.
