Knitting stitches used: Pattern stitch (A): follow chart 1, 2x2 ribbing: follow chart 2.
Gauge: a 4-inch (10 cm) square in pattern stitch (A - chart 1) on 6.0 mm circular needle = 11 sts x 14 rows.
Execution
Transfer the patterns to tracing paper to use as a reference while working on the piece. Pay attention to the arrows in the measurement diagram indicating the direction of the work. Knit all pieces in back-and-forth rows.
Back: Use the Plume yarn in Off-White and cast on 66 sts. on the 6.0 mm circular needle, starting the piece from the bottom in pattern stitch (A – 8 motifs + 1 edge stitch on each side). Follow chart 1 and the repeat stitches. At 27.5 inches (70 cm) in length from the beginning, bind off all sts. and set the piece aside.
Right front: Use the Plume yarn in Off-White and cast on 26 sts. on the 6.0 mm circular needle, starting the piece from the bottom in pattern stitch (A – 3 motifs + 1 edge stitch on each side). Follow chart 1 and the repeat stitches. At 19.5 inches (50 cm) in length on the right side of the piece, begin shaping the neckline by decreasing 1 st every 6 rows (5 times). At 27.5 inches (70 cm) in length from the beginning, bind off the remaining 21 sts. and set the piece aside.
Left front: Same as the right front, reversing the side of the neckline bind-off.
Sleeve: Use the Plume yarn in Off-White and cast on 34 sts. on the 6.0 mm circular needle. Begin the piece at the cuff with 2x2 ribbing, following chart 2 and the repeat stitches for 3 inches (8 cm). On the next row, continue the piece in pattern stitch (A – 4 motifs + 1 edge stitch on each side), following chart 1 and the repeat stitches. At 6.5 inches (16 cm) in length, increase 1 st on each side of the sleeve every 8 rows (5 times), for a total of 44 sts. At 18.5 inches (47 cm) in length from the beginning, bind off all sts. Make the second sleeve the same way and set them aside.
Assembly and finishing: Use the tapestry needle and Plume yarn in Off-White to sew the piece together with basting stitches. Join the shoulders for 7.5 inches (19 cm), sew the body sides for 19.5 inches (50 cm), leaving a 7.5-inch (20 cm) armhole opening. Sew the sleeves and cuffs for 18.5 inches (47 cm) and attach them around the armholes.
Right front yoke and back neckline extension (right side): Use the Plume yarn in Off-White, join the yarn to the bottom of the right side edge, and pick up 86 sts. Then, along the right side of the back neckline, pick up an additional 16 sts., for a total of 102 sts. Knit in 2x2 ribbing, following chart 2 and the repeat stitches for 4 inches (10 cm). Bind off all sts.
Left front yoke and back neckline extension (left side): Use the Plume yarn in Off-White, join the yarn at the beginning of the neckline on the left side, and pick up 16 sts. Then, along the left front edge, starting from the top, pick up an additional 86 sts., for a total of 102 sts. Knit in 2x2 ribbing, following chart 2 and the repeat stitches for 4 inches (10 cm). Bind off all sts., leaving a yarn tail of approximately 8 inches (20 cm). Thread this tail through the tapestry needle and sew the central part of the neckline.
