Double crochet (dc)
Size: S
Front (Bottom and Cups)
Start at the bottom front of the bottom part using color 7370 – Caramelo.
Foundation chain (width):
Size XS and S: ch 10 (approx. 1.75 in / 4.5 cm)
Size M: ch 14 (approx. 2 in / 5 cm)
Size L and XL: ch 18 (approx. 2.4 in / 6 cm)
Add 3 ch to turn. Work 1 dc in the 3rd ch from hook. Work dc across the row.
Work 6 rows of plain dc.
Row 7: 1 dc inc at beginning and end of row.
Row 8: plain dc.
Repeat this increase pattern (1 row with inc / 1 plain row) for 6 more rows.
Rows 13 to 20: Increase at beginning and end of every row (8 rows of increases total).
Rows 21 to 32:
1 row with 3 dc inc at beginning and end
1 row with 2 dc inc at beginning and end
Alternate this pattern for 12 rows.
Rows 33 to 44: Work plain dc (12 rows).
Row 45: Switch to white yarn (8001).
Work 1 row of dc.
Turn, ch 4, then repeat (1 dc, ch 1) across the row.
Turn and work 12 rows of plain dc.
Use a stitch marker to divide the piece in half (e.g., 34 sts on each side). Work the cups separately.
Cups (repeat for both sides):
Row 1: 1 dec at beg and end
Row 2: 1 dec at beg and end
Row 3: 1 centered dec (middle)
Row 4: 1 dec at beg and end
Row 5: 1 centered dec
Row 6: 1 dec at beg and end
Row 7: 1 centered dec
Row 8: 1 dec at beg and end
Row 9: 1 centered dec
Row 10: 1 dec at beg and end
Row 11: 1 centered dec
Rows 12 to 17: 1 dec at beg and end
Then, work 4 dc per row (no decreases) until the strap reaches approx. 16 in / 40 cm in length. These are the shoulder ties.
Back (Bottom Part)
With the right side facing you, attach the yarn to the base of the front bottom.
Work 3 rows of 11 dc, using the same foundation stitches.
From Row 4, begin increasing:
1 dc inc at beg and end of each row (2 dc in first and last st).
Continue this for 29 rows, until you have 69 dc total (matching front waist width).
From Row 33, stop increasing:
Work 27 straight rows (17 in Caramelo, 10 in White), or adjust according to desired height.
At 8 cm from the side, attach the yarn and make 4 double crochets. Work the strap in back-and-forth rows until it reaches 55 cm in length.
Finishing and Side Ties
Work 1 row of sc around the entire piece.
If you want to add elastic to the leg openings, this is the moment: Sew one end of the elastic and guide it through the sc stitches.
For side ties:
Attach one strand of each color to the side of the cup (underarm area).
Make a chain approx. 24 in / 60 cm long (adjust as desired).
Fasten off and repeat for the back section.
With a tapestry needle or fingers, lace the ties together like a shoelace (crisscross style).
Finish with a secure bow, adjusting tension for a snug fit.
Optional: Sew the cups to the lining fabric for better bust support.
