23 sts x 29 rows = 4” x 4” (10 cm x 10 cm) square in stockinette stitch using US 4 (3.5 mm) knitting needles.
Stitch Pattern:
Stockinette stitch: Right Side = knit, Wrong Side = purl.
Instructions:
To follow the color changes of the blouse, refer to the photo and cut the yarn whenever necessary.
Back – Cast on 92 sts using US 4 (3.5 mm) needles and work in Stockinette stitch.
At 15.25” (39 cm) from the beginning of the work, shape the armholes by binding off at each side: 3 sts once, 2 sts twice, and 1 st twice.
At 22” (56 cm) from the beginning of the work, bind off all sts.
Front – Work as for the Back until 20.5” (52 cm) from the beginning.
At this height, shape the neckline by binding off the center 60 sts and finish each side separately. At 22” (56 cm) from the beginning of the work, bind off the remaining sts.
Finishing:
Sew the shoulder seams and side seams.
