Gauge:
A 4-inch (10 cm) square in fantasy st. (A – Diag. 1) using a 1.75 mm hook = 26 sts. x 10 rows.

Execution:
Transfer the patterns to tracing paper to use as a reference in executing the piece. Observe the arrows in the measurement diagram indicating the direction of work.

Back: Use the 1.75 mm crochet hook and Anne yarn #3581 (Pepper). Start the piece at the bottom with a foundation chain of 167 ch. Over the chain, work the edge sts. indicated in diag. 1, 2, and 3, plus the stated number of motifs. Work as follows: R1 to R25: (diag. 1 – 9 mot.); R26 to R34: (diag. 2 – 14 mot.); R35 to R41: (diag. 3 – 35th, 36th, 40th, and 41st rows {55 mot.}, 37th to 39th rows {33 mot.}); R42 to R49: (diag. 2 – 14 mot.); R50 to R56: (diag. 3 – 50th, 51st, 55th, and 56th rows {55 mot.}, 52nd to 54th rows {33 mot.}); R57 to R69: (diag. 1 – 9 mot.); R70: 170 sc.; R71 to R77: (diag. 3 – 71st, 72nd, 76th, and 77th rows {55 mot.}, 73rd to 75th rows {33 mot.}); R78 to R85: (diag. 2 – 14 mot.); R86 to R92: (diag. 3 – 86th, 87th, 91st, and 92nd rows {52 mot.}, 88th to 90th rows {31 mot.}); Use a stitch marker and divide the piece in half. Front: Use the 1.75 mm crochet hook and Anne yarn #3581 (Pepper). Start the piece at the bottom with a foundation chain of 167 ch. Over the chain, work the edge stitches indicated in diag. 1, 2, and 3, plus the stated number of motifs. Assembly: Use the tapestry needle and Anne yarn #3581 (Pepper) to sew the sides of the piece (44.5” / 113 cm).

Finishing trim: Use the 1.75 mm crochet hook and Anne yarn #3581 (Pepper). Work around the armholes, the lower part of the collar, and the neckline of the back piece, creating the finishing trim (21 mot.) on each side of the piece, following diag. 4 and the sts. repeat. Complete by edging the entire piece with 1 row of crab stitch.

Lining: Shape the lining over the dress. Sew the lining with the sewing machine using Maxxi Retrós thread #252 (Pepepr), securing it around the armholes, neckline, and the slit at the back. While attaching the lining at the back slit, also attach the zipper. Switch to sewing needle #2 and Maxxi Retrós thread #252 (Pepper). Attach 2 buttons on the right side of the collar and, above the zipper, attach 1 button on the left side. Switch to the 1.75 mm crochet hook and Anne yarn #3581 (Pepper). Above the zipper on the right side, make a buttonhole (1 sl st., 12 ch., 1 sl st.).
