Instructions:
Front/Back
They are worked together up to the armhole. Using Seaside yarn #6111 (Fervor), ch 176 and close into a ring with 1 sl st. Close all rnds with 1 sl st and ch 1 to start the next one. Work in pattern st foll the diag and the color sequence: *3 rnds with Seaside #6111 (Fervor), 2 rnds with Seaside #2604 (Deep Sea), 3 rnds with Seaside #8001 (White), 2 rnds with Seaside #2604 (Deep Sea)*; rep from * to * until you finish the work.
At 15.8″ (40 cm) from the beginning, dec in the next 17 rnds: 1 st (8x) and 2 sts (9x). Work 1 rnd with no dec, then inc in the next 17 rnds: 2 sts (9x) and 1 st (8x). When you finish the increases and decreases, divide the sts as following: 88 sts for the front section and 88 for the back. Continue each section separately.
Back
Along the 88 sts of the back, continue in pattern st foll the diag and the indicated color sequence. For the armholes, leave unworked on both sides: 1 st every 2 rows (4x) and 1 st every 3 rows (6x). At 31.1" (79 cm) from the beginning of the work, fasten off.
Front Section
Along the 88 sts of the front section, continue in pattern st foll the diag and the indicated color sequence. For the armholes, leave the same sts unworked on both sides as on the back. After 2 rows, for the neckline opening, divide the sts into 2 equal sections and work each side separately.
Front Section – Right
Ch 4 on the side of the neckline opening and continue in pattern st foll the diag and the indicated color sequence. Work the armhole as on the back. At 3.94″ (10 cm) from the beginning of the neckline opening, leave unworked on the neckline side of each row: 10 sts, 4 sts, 3 sts (2x), and 2 sts. At 31.1" (79 cm) from the beginning of the work, fasten off.
Front Section – Left
Same as the right section but reversing the shaping.
Sleeves
Using Seaside yarn #6111 (Fervor), ch 75 + 3 ch to turn. Work in pattern st foll the diag and the color sequence: *3 rows with Seaside #6111 (Fervor), 2 rows with Seaside #2604 (Deep Sea), 3 rows with Seaside #8001 (White), 2 rows with Seaside #2604 (Deep Sea)*; rep from * to * until you finish the sleeve. At 1.97″ (5 cm) from the beginning of the armhole shaping, leave unworked on both sides of each row: 1 st (21x) and 2 sts (6x). At 8.66″ (22 cm) from the beginning of the work, fasten off.
Finishing
Sew the shoulders. Overlap the right edge of the neckline opening over the left edge at the 4–ch inc from the beginning and sew with invisible sts.
Collar
Using Seaside yarn #6111 (Fervor), sc along the neckline and leave 0.79″ (2 cm) unworked on both sides. Work 23 rows in sc and fasten off. Work 1 rnd in sc along the collar and the neckline, then fasten off. Assemble and sew the sleeves. Using Seaside yarn #2604 (Deep Sea), work 9 rnds in sc along the cuffs and the bottom of the dress, then fasten off.
